Working With Me
CBT sessions take place weekly for an hour. Please ensure you are in a confidential space each week, where you feel free to talk.
It is a short-term therapy, and you can expect to attend between 6-12 sessions, depending on the presentation (if paying through insurance, please check how many sessions your insurance covers you for). We will begin by identifying your therapy goals and exploring the difficulties you are currently experiencing.
Don’t worry if you find it difficult to open up, my role is to help make this easier, working at a gentle pace that suits you. Throughout the sessions, I will introduce worksheets, helping to give the therapy structure and enabling you to track your progress.
CBT is a collaborative therapy, which means I work with you to help you reach your goals. Within my CBT practice, I will incorporate other therapeutic approaches, including:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Compassion-Focused Therapy
- Solution-focused therapy, tailoring each session individually.
By completion of your therapy journey, you will have developed a wealth of support materials that you can take with you and reference back to help maintain improved mental well-being.
I work with Hellospace, an online confidential platform. Full details and links will be provided before your first session.
Sessions cost £90ph
Payment is via BACS and paid before each session.
